Yesterday evening I attended a Lyoness Opportunity meeting, in Mooloolaba. A hot oppressive evening not too conducive to concentrating or absorbing information.
Although the concept of these shopping rewards cards is attractive and clearly popular in Europe, I found difficulty in relating to the details of the concept and thought the compensation plan over complicated. Maybe I say that because I don’t relate to compensation plans in general; looking for the overview, and the answers to the two questions which arise in all such situations:-
A. Could I make money with this opportunity (with a rather significant initial investment, the risk is higher than some)
B. Could I do it (or what would I have to do.
Regrettably I did not come away with clear answers to this, maybe the hour long presentation sought to present the opportunity and also provide training and was less effective by doing so.
On reflection I would think this is an option for established entrepreneurs and Business People probably not for the average work-from-home prospect.
Just my thoughts, you may feel differently and this could be your cup of tea. Enjoy the video….

I have been a Lyoness premium business member for 6 months now and I finally quit my old job to focus all of my time and effort into this amazing opportunity. The idea is very simple but the vision at first sounds a bit absurd. Making just a little money from every person in your infinity network any where in the world, with out changing their spending habits(they still shop where they want to shop)and with out costing them any additional money(they actually make money).
The only catch is you have to be recommended and the network is only built one time. You can start now, optimize your business opportunity and capture the greatest market share or you can wait until the cat is already out of the bag and compete for your remaining network.

Hi Christopher, Thanks for your comment. Yes I understand the basic concept and potential, but you touch on two issues which were sticking points for me personally (apart from the entry cost).
Firstly the impression that the business building is a one off opportunity (first in best dressed etc) this conflicts with accepted Network Marketing wisdom – that latecomers should have equal opportunity to excel. The one opportunity promotion is a feature of pyramid schemes – not that I am suggesting this is.
Secondly – the issue of not changing shopping habits. I doubt that would be true for me, and also I guess the whole selling point of Lyoness to small business is that it would bring more customers – viz change their shopping habits.
I could be wrong – but this is the impression I came away with. Feel free to correct me.
